Marta Sala, Untitled, mixed media, 105x70 cm, 2014
The
work is based on one of the floral pattern formations from the school
of Zalipie (Zalipie is a village famous for creating floral
decorations). The belief in symmetry and the fear of chaos in folk art
are juxtaposed by a list of Neo-Plasticism or Bauhaus ideas (the use of
simplified geometric forms, mainly primary colors and machine
productions). The strict order was slightly disturbed by shifting the
composition from the central axis and adding the pink color. |
Ciekawie opisane. Czekam na jeszcze więcej.
